Key Responsibilities :

Reporting to the Manager of Global Centre Digital Properties, the digital media officer will be an integral part of the team telling World Vision’s story to diverse audiences.

Your job will be to help create, publish and optimize content for social and web channels, leveraging best-practice content-creation methods and mediums and SEO strategies to drive increased awareness of, trust in and engagement with World Vision’s programmes on web and social media channels.

Key Responsibilities :

Content Creation Work with Global Centre social media and web team to develop and publish engaging content for GC’s social channels leveraging social listening insights, trending topics and research to create social and SEO-optimised content that supports content strategy and customer journey goals.

Website Administration Support website users and the manager of global digital properties with day to day tasks such as training new users, editing / publishing content for contributors, updating static pages.

Content Optimization Work with campaign, sector, Global Centre and Field Office teams to review and optimize content for SEO based on topic / keyword research best practices for content and technical SEO.

Analytics Using analytical tools available through Sprout Social, in platform analytics and Google Analytics etc identify opportunities for improvement and celebrate successes.

Testing Design, deploy and debrief on A / B tests on social and web platforms.

Training GC social channels are often an early adopter. You will use the knowledge gained through testing, analytics and optimization to train colleagues across the partnership in best practices as well in order to multiple the results of our efforts.

KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

  • Digital media content creation experience
  • Proficient in the use of design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite to create eye-catching and impactful visual assets, including graphics, data visualisations and short videos.
  • Experience with analytics, measurement and developing A / B tests.
  • Extensive knowledge about SEO best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Sound editorial skills / judgement
  • Strong understanding of audience segmentation / how to target key audiences.
  • Ability to partner other teams in order to coordinate content creation and strategy
  • University degree in communications, public relations or digital marketing.

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Experience in a global organization (NGO experience an advantage).
  • Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. Drupal).
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English, preferably in addition to a second language such as Spanish, French or German.
  • Knowledge of SEO and experience optimizing content for SEO. Graphic design and / or video editing skills

Willingness and ability to Travel up to 10%
