Reporting to the Director, Media Performance, the Sr. Manager Search Engine Marketing (SEM) will play a leading role in improving the connections between Brand / Marketing budget and resulting business outcomes.

The successful candidate will influence cross-functional teams to report on and speak about consistent KPIs, thereby improving decision-making and unlocking agility.

In partnership with the media AOR, the Sr. Manager, SEM will also act as a catalyst for improving paid search platforms ROI by managing quarterly learning agendas and implementing learning from associated tests across Home and Wireless lines of business.

This position will be located in Toronto (ON) or Montreal (QC) or Vancouver (BC).

What you will be doing :

Lead SEM strategies, actionable insights generation, measurement, and reporting, ensuring the channel plays a lead role in supporting the customer journey and optimizes for the customer journey in recognition of all digital marketing channels.

Develop strategic roadmaps, test plans, risk / benefit analysis, SEM audits and analyzing results to develop actionable insights and media efficiencies.

Influence business leaders & cross functional teams to establish the right media proxy KPIs that ultimately tie to desired business outcomes.

Optimize KPI’s to maximize ROI of each marketing / brand dollar spent within weekly budget restraints.

Lead a team with direct report and media agency partners in driving improved decision-making & recommendations during weekly and quarterly results discussions by helping to remove roadblocks & developing decision-making frameworks.

Define Paid Search internal standards and best practices.

Leverage internal & external resources to develop additional business outcome forecasting tools to accurately measure paid search contribution.

Guide narrative for quarterly platform performance reviews & ensure that learning is shared / applied across Rogers lines of business.

Participate in developing a culture of continuous improvement to strengthen knowledge of the organization’s digital paid media sector.

Drive change, actively promote innovation by following the latest trends and challenge the status quo.

Support the decision-making around our advertising & marketing technology selection.

What you will bring to the role :

7-10 years of experience working in a telecommunication or related organization

People management skills and proven experience leading and inspiring a team through a consistently evolving environment

A comfort with ambiguity and strong problem-solving skills

Proven track record of building positive and productive working relationships with internal cross-functional teams and external agency / vendor partners

Comfort and confidence presenting ideas to senior leadership

Ability to understand and analyze media / marketing data and use it to tell stories and influence decision-making

Strong influencer, skillful collaborator and leader among peers

Expertise in digital marketing and media strategy / planning

Expertise in Paid Search media platforms (Google ads, Bing, Yahoo)

Expertise in paid search management platforms (CM360, SA360)

Good knowledge of analytics tools (GA360 and Adobe Analytics)

Good knowledge of data visualization platforms (Tableau, Google Locker, Power BI)

Good knowledge of call tracking platforms (Invoca, CallRail etc.)

Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

Bilingual (French, English) is an asset

A good knowledge of English is necessary as this role requires regular communication in English with customers and / or team members in other provinces.
