NV-09The person in this position analyzes the business needs of users. They are responsible for development or patches with a medium to high level of complexity.
They offer advice and influence decisions regarding development activities. They develop information systems, computer programs and applications, or configure software packages.
They supervise and technically validate their colleagues' work quality and deliverables.
The incumbent drafts texts on developments according to business requirements. They work with standardized development software and follow current development processes and requirements.
In addition, they conduct testing and assist L2 and L3 support to ensure assigned incidents and problems are resolved.
General Information on the Position
Analyze and have an in-depth understanding of the IT field. Design optimal solutions. Have an in-depth understanding of system components and how they interact
Analyze and anticipate the needs of business leaders and help colleagues choose solutions, applications and systems
Analyze and coordinate development and upgrade activities for complex systems
Conduct activity estimates and sequencing for highly complex projects
Act as a business or IT subject matter expert and apply cross-sector knowledge of the organization's systems
Represent Desjardins in dealings with external partners and organizations
Develop and recommend procedures and development methods for your field
Research, recommend and apply best practices for application and software development and configuration. Determine and validate the implementation delivery strategy.
Oversee development and implementation quality
Conduct quality control and run tests. Ensure solutions perform as expected. Understand the operational aspects of how applications and systems work.
Guide and share knowledge with working groups

Bachelor’s degree in a related field
A minimum of four years of relevant experience with an IT support department in a business environment
Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (an asset)

Proficiency in MS Office and ticketing systems
In-depth knowledge of VBA, Excel and SQL
Knowledge of project management practices

Knowledge of the Oracle Financials suite, specifically EBS, OBIEE and Hyperion (an asset)
Knowledge of ITIL best practices (an asset)
