Job Level

NV-09As a mainframe programmer analyst, you support IT efficiency in the Integrated Caisse System Banking Solutions Department.

You design, configure, administer, maintain and upgrade management systems based on the organization's needs.

You will work on the Desjardins Group banking platform on a z / OS mainframe with technology like IMS, Db2, COBOL, JCL and SAS.

You'll be part of a team working to modernize this banking platform and z / OS tools and development processes (for example, by introducing a continuous integration pipeline)

You'll use more traditional tools like TSO, ISPF, Endevor and Control-M and more modern tools like IBM Developer for z / OS, Visual Studio Code, Git and Endevor Team Build.

You make project execution recommendations and help solve complex problems using your analytical skills and comprehensive knowledge of your line of business.

Coordination is critical. You interact with stakeholders working in other fields.

You serve as a systems resource person for your unit, clients and practitioners.

General Information on the Position

Main responsibilities

Actively help develop execution strategies and analyze, design and document programs and applications. Help with development, coding and testing

Provide technical support and follow-up for IT operations

Draft operational specifications, procedures and methods. Develop documentation and prepare and deliver training for users

Analyze, diagnose, follow up on and resolve critical and complex system issues

Lead software package installations and testing as well as in-house application deployment

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field

A minimum of four years of relevant experience en programmation sur MainFrame z / OS ( Cobol JCL, Endavor, CTRL-C, IMS, DB2, SAS)

Experience in continuous integration, testing and deployment (an asset)

Experience with DevOps (an asset)

Experience at a financial institution (an asset)

Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required

Specific knowledge

Knowledge of Agile development concepts (Scrum, kanban) using tools such as Jira
