JOB SUMMARY :

In this role the warehouse supervisor is responsible to supervise our organization’s warehouse operations with guidance from the Warehouse Director.

This role is essential to our overall corporate objective to ensure that the warehouse processes result in products of maximum quality with maximum profits.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Supervising a warehouse team in daily workflow and logistics processes
  • Meets daily demands of warehouse operations from the receipt of products, storage, and distribution to customers.
  • Has a Can Do attitude and is able to work within team environments as a team player.
  • Trains new workers in job duties.
  • Cross Trains workers for operational flexibility.
  • Trains all workers in safety policies.
  • Inspects work in progress and finished product.
  • Uses the Help Chain when problems with materials, tooling or equipment occurs.
  • Attends company and departmental meetings as scheduled.
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety / OSHA regulations.
  • Completes supervisory reports for work related accidents.
  • Analyzes and resolves work / employee problems.
  • Recommends and presents personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
  • Completes daily paperwork as assigned.
  • Follows all standards to ensure safety, quality, and delivery of products.
  • Uses continuous philosophy to improve current standards.
  • Prepares annual employee performance reviews.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Minimum 5 years’ warehouse / logistics experience
  • Minimum Associates Degree or High School Diploma plus equivalent work experience
  • Proven leadership skills, with a proactive attitude
  • A keen eye for detail and safety
  • Experience with computerized inventory systems
  • Understanding and Familiarity of automotive components preferably undercarriage components
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to devise an analytical approach to solving a business problem
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including
  • Efficient in software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word
  • Physical Requirement : Capability to lift 20 pounds.
  • Working Conditions : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen.

The noise level is usually moderate.

EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE :

  • Minimum 5 years’ warehouse / logistics experience
  • Minimum Associates Degree or High School Diploma plus equivalent work experience
