Leasing and Administrative Duties

  • Encourage appointments or viewings with all prospective resident callers
  • Answer all phone calls and email inquiries providing leasing information as outlined in Realstar’s policies
  • Prepare applications and leasing contracts
  • Process resident applications and conduct credit, reference, and employment checks
  • Coordinate rent receipts and the preparation of bank deposits
  • Ensure positive resident relations; write notices to residents
  • Proof, scan and file documents
  • Use computer and Yardi software system to record various transactions as required
  • Will conduct market surveys

Customer Service Responsibilities

  • Greeting and interacting with residents and prospective residents in a customer friendly and professional manner
  • Prompt response to resident issues and service requests (within 24 hours)
  • Assist with resident events ( Holiday parties, summer barbeques)
  • Recognition of residents’ unique requirements

Skill Set Required

  • Strong administration and organization skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Computer and emailing skills
  • Positive attitude towards learning and training
  • Well-developed verbal communication skills
  • Ability to display a professional / presentable appearance / attire
  • Experience with leasing apartments or selling condominiums an asset
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision when carrying out day-to-day responsibilities
  • Fluent in speaking, reading and writing in French & English (required)
