Description
The main role of the Capital Markets IT Department is to support the IT ecosystem for Desjardins Group’s capital markets business sector. We ensure the ongoing operation of IT systems related to this sector’s operations, assist business partners with strategic technology development decisions, and help upgrade Desjardins Group’s IT systems. Given the criticality level of the systems in use—which our team is responsible for—we need to be forward-thinking, put in place the best development methods, and rely on cutting-edge technology. If you’re looking for this type of environment, you’ve come to the right place. The person in this role will mainly ensure that things are running smoothly and that necessary support is provided for our application portfolio in non-production areas. This will allow our agile squads to use these environments and complete the necessary rollouts and tests before the production releases.

- Coordinate technical teams: You must coordinate technical teams to respond to incidents in a timely and effective manner. This can include internal or external teams.
- Assess incidents: You’re responsible for assessing incidents (with help from the ARC) to determine the impact on end-users and systems. You must also help identify root causes and trends to prevent future incidents.
- Manage communication: You’re responsible for communicating with collaborators, including end-users, technical teams, managers, and clients. You must provide regular updates on the status of incidents and manage collaborator expectations.
- Improve processes: You must work closely with technical teams to improve processes and incident management procedures. This may include identifying new tools and technologies, training teams, and optimizing existing processes.
