Mechanical Designer – Railway Sector

Teoresi Inc is an international Group, with offices in Europe and the United States, that acts as an engineering partner to customers' product and process development.

Job Description

To support the design and development of mechanical components and systems for railway applications. The role focuses on 2D / 3D modeling, mechanical design validation, and collaboration with cross-disciplinary engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities for the Position:

  • Develop detailed 3D mechanical designs using CATIA for railway systems and components
  • Create and manage technical documentation, including drawings and design reports
  • Experience with PLM systems, such as ENOVIA / DMA, for managing design data
  • Support the engineering team in design validation, prototyping, and integration phases
  • Ensure compliance with railway industry standards and customer technical specifications
  • Coordinate with electrical, systems, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product integration
  • Familiarity with digital mock‑up (DMU) processes and interface management
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input to improve product functionality and manufacturability

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in CATIA for mechanical design
  • Experience in PLM systems, such as ENOVIA / DMA
  • Solid understanding of mechanical components used in railway applications
  • Familiarity with materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes specific to the railway industry
  • Strong problem‑solving attitude, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and in cross‑functional teams

Profile Completes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design roles, preferably in the railway sector
  • Knowledge of railway regulations and standards (e.g., EN 15085, EN 12663, UIC codes)
  • Experience with additional CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, or CATIA) is a plus
