Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Development Manager to lead the development and improvement of our software platforms. You will manage one or more teams of software developers, quality assurance analysts, and test developers, working with Agile squads and stakeholders. You will partner closely with Product Owners to drive system functionality and efficiency. This opportunity is for someone passionate about software development eager to make a significant impact.

Detailed Role Overview

As a Software Development Manager for Route Optimizations, you will lead teams developing Intelcom’s route optimization and management systems. You will help evolve how Intelcom converts hundreds of thousands of packages into thousands of routes, oversee projects scaling the software to meet ambitious growth targets, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and continuously improve team practices and software development standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to key tasks or projects.
• Participate in architectural decisions and shape the technical vision of the team.
• Manage project deadlines and coordinate team activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
• Ensure the successful execution of related activities.
• Contribute to the department’s standardization efforts.
• Track team members’ objectives and conduct performance reviews.
• Other duties as assigned, related to software development and team support.

Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years managing software development teams.
• Strong ability to grow your employees.
• Experience managing and prioritizing technical debt.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple projects.
• Experience with software development lifecycle metrics and improving team velocity.
• Experience with technologies such as React, Java, C#, AWS, Azure, Pulsar or other message brokers, Kubernetes, Datadog, CI/CD, feature flags, and SRE concepts.
