Job Responsibilities
As a Technical Designer, you are responsible for interpreting all ideas into detailed sketches with all applicable information to ensure intended execution of the style. Some of what you'll do:
- Interpret ideas and sketches provided by designers into clear and precise 2D technical drawings.
- Create and maintain Tech Pack with accurate Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Ensure samples are accurately produced at every stage of the sample life cycle.
- Work closely with fit & spec, patternmakers to ensure sketch represents the pattern, the desired fit and accurate construction.
- Primary point of contact between design and factories.
- Review and validate each style prior to attending Fit Meetings and document any changes and/or revisions.
- Establish and document clear visual representations of our quality and construction standards as needed.
- Deliver completed tasks on time at each stage of the development process, take initiative when required as well as demonstrate flexibility as needed.
Qualifications
Some of what you'll need:
- 2-5 years of working experience within an Outwear Development Role or related position.
- Dec in Fashion Design or equivalent.
- Technical Design experience in outerwear is preferred.
- Knowledge of garment construction is required.
- Understanding fabric types, structure and use is an asset.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator is required.

- Ability to work as a team and maintain a high level of professionalism.
