Hello,

I'm Clémence, recruitment and business development consultant at FED IT, a recruitment agency specializing in IT professions.

I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent.

All our consultants are IT experts who speak your language and work in your environment. We cover the IT, development, business intelligence, and infrastructure professions.

We're looking for an experienced IT Director to join a leisure company located on Montreal's North Shore.

Main responsibilities:

  • Operationalize the strategic vision: Implement the company's strategic objectives in his/her department.
  • Planning and management: Plan, organize, direct, and control team activities, plans, and projects.
  • Recruiting and coaching: Hire, train, and supervise department employees.
  • Work methodology: Develop, maintain, and update department-specific methods.
  • Budget: Participate in the preparation of the annual budget and ensure its follow-up.
  • Negotiation: Manage departmental agreements and contracts.
  • IT project management: Plan, execute, and monitor IT projects while respecting deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Continuous improvement: Optimize technological infrastructure.
  • Mobility: Travel to gyms as needed to monitor projects.
  • Implementation of IT solutions: Implement new initiatives, systems, and software.
  • Coordination with suppliers: Collaborate with IT suppliers and guarantee the quality of services.
  • Validation of work and charges: Analyze supplier work, approve invoices, and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Documentation: Document projects and draw up procedures.
  • Communication: Keep internal and external stakeholders informed of project progress.
  • IT security: Oversee the application of policies and ensure security compliance.

Prerequisites and technical skills:

  • Education: University degree in computer science or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in personnel management in a similar position.
  • Mastery of tools: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Office, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Technology watch: Monitor trends and identify opportunities to optimize infrastructures.
  • Technical knowledge: Solid understanding of cloud systems, networks, and tools.

Job conditions:

Permanent full-time position (40 hours/week), Monday to Friday.

The use of English is required for this position for the following reasons:

  • Communication with international customers: As some of our customers are based abroad, you will be required to communicate with them regularly in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Working with English-speaking partners: You will be required to work with English-speaking suppliers and partners to monitor orders and manage contracts.
  • Drafting documents in English: You will be responsible for drafting reports, proposals, and contracts in English, for our international customers.
