If so, you might be the perfect candidate for the AI Threat Hunter position at Intact Financial.

As an AI Threat Hunter, you will be responsible for proactively identifying, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats that target Intact's systems, data, and customers.

You will use advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning techniques to hunt for malicious actors, uncover their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and provide actionable intelligence to the security operations center (SOC) and other stakeholders.

You will also contribute to the development and improvement of the AI solutions that enable the cyber threat monitoring team to detect, prevent, and mitigate cyber risks.

This individual will report to the Manager - Cyber Threat Monitoring.

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct proactive threat hunting activities using AI tools and techniques, such as anomaly detection, machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision to detect both known and unknown cyber threats.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of AI threat hunting processes, procedures, and best practices to establish early warning systems that can identify and alert security teams.
  • Develop and implement AI models and algorithms to detect and analyze malicious activities and behaviors.
  • Analyze and correlate data from various sources, such as network logs, endpoint telemetry, threat intelligence feeds, and open-source information, to identify and prioritize potential threats.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the SOC and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and effective response to the identified threats.
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis of security alerts and incidents to identify the root cause and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Research and stay up to date with the latest trends, developments, and best practices in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to the AI engineers and developers to enhance the performance and functionality of the AI tools and solutions.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably in threat hunting, threat intelligence, or incident response.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and programming languages, such as Python, R, SQL, and Java.
  • Proficient in using various AI tools and platforms, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn, and AWS SageMaker.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Certifications such as Certified Artificial Intelligence Security Professional (CAISP), GIAC Forensic Analyst (GCFA), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) are preferred.
  • No Canadian work experience required; however, must be eligible to work in Canada.
