About the Role

In this exciting opportunity, you will leverage your HR expertise to make a significant impact on our leadership team and the overall business at Tarkett Sports.

As a key partner, you will support our Montreal-based team by delivering strategic HR guidance, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and brokering HR services across the organization.

Through strong partnerships with client groups, you'll drive organizational performance, enhance talent management, and create a competitive advantage by recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent.

This role will also allow you to lead continuous improvement, support translation needs, and foster a culture of engagement as a member of the local social committee.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Organizational Effectiveness: Partner with business leaders to align HR initiatives with critical business objectives, helping to foster a culture of high performance.
  • Build Collaborative Partnerships: Create strong, interactive relationships with cross-functional teams to broker HR services, ensuring alignment with Tarkett Sports' business needs.
  • Change Leadership: Proactively lead and support change initiatives, helping managers and their teams navigate transitions to achieve results.
  • Manage Talent: Lead staffing, organizational development, and talent management efforts, building a workforce that provides a competitive edge.
  • Coach and Confidant: Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing coaching and HR support to elevate team effectiveness and employee engagement.
  • HR Administration and Support: Oversee day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance and alignment with corporate standards.
  • Collaboration with COEs: Work closely with Centers of Excellence (Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development) to deliver best-in-class HR solutions and support managers in achieving their goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and practices to enhance service delivery and organizational impact.
  • Translation Support: Translate materials as needed to support clear communication across our bilingual teams and ensure accessible HR resources.
  • Social Committee Support: Actively participate in and support the local social committee to promote employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture.

Work Environment & Travel

  • This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of two days per week in the Montreal, QC office, with flexibility to work remotely the remaining days.
  • Occasional travel is required for client-facing and HR meetings across Quebec, Ontario, and, at times, to various locations in the United States.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of HR Generalist experience, including support for managers and senior leaders.
  • Proficiency with HR systems; Workday experience is preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Canadian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Bilingual in French and English, with strong communication skills for audiences ranging from employee to executive levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a highly matrixed environment.
