The Finance Department is currently seeking a candidate to fill the position of Team Leader - Financial Reporting. The selected candidate will aim to support the team through the department's expansion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of two financial analysts within the Financial Reporting team
• Supervise month-end accounting (IFRS 16 and capitalization of internally developed software (IAS 38) and approve month-end entries.

Work cross-functionally with Real Estate team

• Oversee monthly variance preparation for the Financial Operation team
• Review preparation of consolidated financial statements
• Prepare monthly presentation
• Lead and mentor the team, providing guidance, training, and support
• Conduct performance evaluations and develop team members' skills
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and corporate policies
• Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams and other departments to collect and analyze financial data for accounting and financial reporting purposes.

Ensure deadlines are set, tracked, and communicated

• Work closely with the Financial Operation team regarding monthly financial results to ensure results are prepared in a timely manner
• Review quarterly and annual complex accounting entries (Swap, Warrant, goodwill, and stock option) as well as complex accounting memos
• Participate in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports (MD&A, presentation for Board of Directors)
• Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual reports (compliance certificate, sustainability report)
• Actively involved in the end-of-year audit
• Responsible for the GL creation process, as well as the chart of accounts for all entities
• Actively involved in maintaining and improving controls over financial information, documenting and improving existing processes and procedures
• Participate in the transformation of the finance function
• Other ad hoc tasks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in administration or accounting
• CPA designation or in process (required)
• 4 to 5 years' experience as a financial analyst; management experience an asset.
• Bilingual (English and French)
• Capable of simplifying operational activities and transposing them into a financial context
• Flexibility, collaboration and initiative, leadership
• Advanced Excel (Formulas, Language Query, an asset)
