Fed IT is a recruitment firm specializing in IT recruitment, covering both temporary and permanent roles.

We are looking for a Systems and Network Administrator for one of our clients located in downtown Montreal. This is a permanent position.

Your responsibilities :

  • Ensure the performance, availability, and security of environments in accordance with current policies while maintaining monitoring tools.
  • Contribute to technological projects as a member or project lead, as needed.
  • Administer Intune or equivalent, covering Windows image, collections, deployments, policy definition, technician training, etc.
  • Actively participate in the acquisition, implementation, and inventory management of network equipment and licenses.
  • Ensure the execution of backup copies and conduct failover tests on various servers.
  • Provide third-level support to users in a Microsoft environment.
  • Diagnose and resolve recurring issues requiring special attention.
  • Manage network access and security, including user accounts, permissions, and authentication.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST.
  • Contribute to the implementation of standards and processes applicable to the role (security, access, confidentiality, backups, changes, etc.).
  • Contribute to the development of dashboards tracking network performance and quality, covering outages, flows, resource availability, security, etc.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Holder of a DEC in Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Accumulating at least 10 years of experience in the field of information technology, with a primary expertise in server and network equipment administration.
  • Proficient in environments such as Windows Servers, Office 365, SCCM, Powershell, InTune, and VMWare.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud environments (Azure and AWS) and Linux servers.
  • Significant experience in multi-site environments.
  • Strong proficiency in local (LAN) and wide-area (WAN) networks, as well as telecommunications equipment.
  • Experience in using network management tools and network monitoring services.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in firewalls, SDWAN, Layer 3 protocols, key protocols (Ethernet, MCLAG, LACP, PPP, PAgP), EIGRP, IS-IS, BGP, MP-BGP, VLAN/trunking, QoS, and MPLS (with experience in problem resolution), wireless networks, and Wifi network equipment.
  • Possession of relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, NSE, CCIE, etc. is an asset.
  • Bilingual in written and spoken communication.
