AAA Canada is looking for a configuration management agent to join our team.
Responsibilities
DOCUMENT CONTROL SERVICE
- Scanning and Availability
- Responsible for release, storage and archiving of all Engineering documents / drawings.
- Scan and publish original Engineering data into the MAI system, so data is available online for viewing and printing.
- Generate new P / Ns and / or revisions in ERP / MRP system, EBOM.
- Provide restricted and controlled access to original design data by ensuring only approved personnel have access to the originals after release.
- Document Control plays a critical role in the Engineering change release, including verification (design quality assurance function) of the ERR release package contents, media conversion, and distribution to production, purchasing and our customers.
- Notification of released changes to the organization.
- Distribution to internal buyers as required, as well as providing release packages of customer deliverable documents and drawings to Program Management, under Engineering direction.
- In-house and offsite retention and archive of obsolete documents for legal and / or knowledge preservation purposes.
- Ensures specifications are controlled and updated by consulting various sources and subscriptions for updates on a continuous basis.
- Keep drawings of mature designs up to date by issuing and incorporating Engineering Orders.
CONFIGURATION CONTROL
- Manage changes to Configuration Items.
- Change requests, EO, ECO, NIEO.
- Manage approved configuration identification documentation.
- Create and maintain the Configuration Control Matrix for documentation and product on the programs.
- Create and maintain Technical Part List (TPL).
- Permanent member of the Change Board.
- Configuration control begins at contract award, using the functional allocated or product configuration identification prescribed by the Customer and continues throughout the life of the Configuration Item.
Skills and Qualifications
- You have a college degree or the equivalent (mechanical Engineering).
- You have at least two (2) years of manufacturing experience.
- You have experience in the field of aeronautics.
- You demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You know the SAP software & MS Office very well, including MS Project, PowerPoint and Excel, Catia V5.
- You are a good team player with strong communication skills, which ensures the interface with the many business partners involved.
- You need to demonstrate superior organizational and leadership skills and you need to be comfortable in a dynamic and changing work environment.
- Bilingualism (French - English) in speaking and writing is an important asset for communication in the multilingual environment of the client site and technical documentation.
Required Experience
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
