mdf commerce Inc. is an international team of 650 experts who develop a broad set of SaaS solutions to power the critical work of public procurement.
We are currently looking for a Solution Consultant to join our E-procurement team.
What will your primary responsibilities look like?
In this role, you will :
- Collaborate with Account Executives on qualified opportunities to uncover customer business objectives, pain points and project requirements.
- Create winning sales strategies and presentations for prospects using best practices and industry expertise.
- Present the value of the mdf solutions through sophisticated and collaborative demos.
- Build high-quality functional responses to RFPs and support all functional/technical activities through the sales cycle.
- Work effectively with other parts of the organization, including Product Management and R&D, to support ongoing product improvements via prospects’ and customers’ feedback.
- Demonstrate an understanding of client business processes through presentations, demonstrations and RFx response development.
- Act as a functional expert for sales directors and account executives.
- Meet with field sales executives regularly to develop strategies to build pipelines, work specific opportunities and close business.
- Develop excellent working relationships with all the above-supported executives and staff.
- Participate in weekly sales calls with executive management as needed.
What elements of your professional background will be necessary and helpful in this role?
- Knowledge or experience in Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain functions.
- Knowledge or experience with SaaS and Cloud-Based applications.
- Experience working with the U.S. / Canada Public Sector is an asset.
- Able to articulate the value of and sell SaaS / Cloud-Based applications.
- You stay current on the solution roadmap and competitive offers to improve your industry knowledge.
- Strong proficiency in M.S. Office suite and other software tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, engineering, or related field.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Commitment to company values and understanding of our corporate purpose.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills need analysis, positioning, business justification and closing techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with prospective clients in complex environments.
- Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan for the short and long term.
- Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
What are the assets that would make you stand out?
Public sector (state or local government) experience.
