OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

The Director will assist in the growth and integration of our Learning Management System (LMS) and Drupal Content Management System (CMS) within the ACAMS IT landscape.

The role will partner with Subject Matter Experts in related departments to augment and integrate our LMS and CMS within our existing toolset.

Ultimately, he / she will lead a talented group of internal and external team members to achieve targeted success on an individual and organization wide basis.

The Software Developer Director strives to drive continuous improvement through extensive understanding of the company's business processes and data.

This role collaborates with functional business process owners to identify, design, develop, and implement integrations that will support strategic business initiatives, streamline process, and maximize customer satisfaction.

The Director is an experienced professional who enjoys rolling up his or her sleeves and working to create and implement solutions, achieve objectives, eliminate risks, and increase user and / or customer satisfaction.

A problem-solving aptitude and demonstrated ability to influence people and successful experiences working in a fast-paced, high-growth, multi-functional, matrixed, and international team are required.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director will :

  • Manage a team - in an Agile environment - consisting of 10 to 15 software developers and product maintenance resources including analysts, developers, solutions managers and administrators plus third party partner resources, including off-shore resources
  • Effectively improve break-fix processes and productivity through implementation of best practices
  • Drive continuous improvement of the enterprise intake review and become an internal business partner.
  • Accountable for the delivery of sprint releases and products to ACAMS internal customers. Additionally, respond to global customer needs by development, definition and delivery of new CRM, CMS and LMS product concepts.
  • Work with all Enterprise Solutions and Infrastructure leaders to create mechanisms that proactively identify, track, mitigate, and report technology risks while following established product strategies.
  • Drive the design and development of a multi-year strategy that encompasses people, process, and technology.
  • Prepare and present weekly, monthly and quarterly reviews illustrating service delivery effectiveness, metrics review, and areas of opportunity (including tracking).
  • Lead team members in drafting and deploying process improvement and knowledge management competencies across enterprise solutions.
  • Attract and retain talent developing a high performing team.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Experience and Qualifications

The successful candidate will be well versed in the appropriate field of expertise. The successful candidate’s qualifications will include :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent industry experience required. Master’s degree desired.
  • 5+ years of IT leadership experience, overseeing multiple IT functions.
  • 10+ years of overall IT experience, including DR / BCP, operations, service delivery in a metrics driven environment

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Agile development methodology experience
  • Experience with proven strategic leadership, business relationship management, IT finance and asset management.
  • Experience managing large projects and in the creation of complex operational processes and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Salesforce, SDLC and Agile best practices, techniques and technologies.
  • Experience in deploying and utilizing mature IT risk management methods and methodologies to gauge overall business risk and business impact.
  • Possess effective communication, risk management, and risk-based decision-making skills, enabling you to work effectively under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to mentor and develop staff.
  • Proven ability to communicate professionally in a corporate environment, work in cross-functional collaborative teams and implement organizational change management.
  • Ability to deal with a fast pace and fast changing environment to meet internal and external customer needs.

Bonus Skills & Knowledge

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems
