Position title : Senior Analyst, Market Research

Reports to : Senior Manager, Market Research, Airport Service Quality

Location : Montreal, Canada

Airports Council International (ACI) is the only global trade representative of the world’s airports. Established in 1991, ACI represents airports interests with Governments and international organizations such as ICAO, develops standards, policies, and recommended practices for airports, and provides information and training opportunities to raise standards around the world.

ACI is looking for a Senior Analyst, Market Research , Airport Service Quality.

About this opportunity :

ACI’s Airport Service Quality (ASQ) is the world’s leading airport passenger satisfaction program, with over 400 participating airports in 109 countries.

Our Departures, Arrivals, and Commercial Surveys provide airports with unique insight into customer experience.

ASQ surveys measure passenger satisfaction and help airports identify solutions to enhance customer experience, improve service offerings, and increase non-aeronautical revenue.

The Senior Analyst, Market Research will assist the ACI ASQ team throughout all aspects of quantitative research projects, data analysis, project management, market and industry trends analysis, and handling ad hoc analysis requests.

Major duties and accountabilities

  • Contribute to the ASQ Programs and Services delivery :
  • Greatly participate in the management of the day-to-day relationships with more than 300 international clients by providing key insights and support for questions on studies results, methodology and technical question on BI tools.

This mean having a full understanding of ASQ Programs to support Airport members with relevant data.

  • Participate in the production and quality control process of reports and deliverables.
  • Manage ad hoc analysis requests from start to finish :
  • Initiate communications and clarification of the requirements.
  • Define scope and deliverables.
  • Execute the requests : data extraction, manipulation using both standard and advanced analytical techniques (SPSS).
  • Interpret results to leverage passenger knowledge and generate insights.
  • Package, share, and present analytical findings in an articulate way for different audiences.
  • Develop Market Intelligence and Industry Trends Analysis :
  • Continuously perform targeted market and trend analysis using secondary data within the travel and airport sectors, taking into account consumer, cultural and technology trends that could impact the industry.
  • Regroup and explore the information to identify trends in airport operations and passenger satisfaction and share findings with internal and external stakeholders to inform strategic decisions.
  • Contribute to the creation of influential industry trends reports, aimed at shaping industry standards and garnering public and media attention.
  • Participate to Subcommittee meetings and any other webinars, presentations, or events as part of a continuing education service to members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Technical knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • BAA, MBA or master’s degree in Marketing, Marketing Research, or other related discipline.
  • Experience : minimum of 5 years in Market Research
  • Experience in a market and competitive intelligence role, and direct client relations and interactions.
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with survey software tools.
  • Experience with large data sets, cleaning and weighting
  • Knowledge of statistical software tools SAS / SPSS.
  • Superior organizational skills to carry out all tasks required, handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and spoken English skills : ability to communicate in a welcoming, effective and dynamic manner.
  • Curious, proactive, autonomous with self-leadership qualities.
  • Creative and enjoying working in a dynamic environment.
  • Able to establish and maintain good working relationships.
  • Experience in international project management is an asset.
