The Opportunity!

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Social Media Manager to lead our social media strategy and execution. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving engagement, growth, and brand awareness across various social media platforms.

They should possess strong leadership abilities to manage a team effectively, as well as excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners.

The Senior Social Media Manager will play a critical role in shaping and implementing our organization's social media presence to achieve our business objectives.

A day in the life

Strategy Development & Platform Management :

  • Develop comprehensive social media strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices. Continuously evaluate and adjust strategies to maximize performance and stay ahead of trends.
  • Manage and optimize our presence across key social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others.

Stay updated on platform algorithms, features, and trends to ensure maximum reach and impact.

Content Planning and Creation :

  • Oversee the development of high-quality, engaging content for social media platforms, including but not limited to text, images, videos, and interactive elements.
  • Foster meaningful interactions with our audience by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.

Cultivate a sense of community and brand loyalty among followers.

Campaign Management & Performance Analysis :

Plan, execute, and measure the success of social media campaigns, including sponsored content, influencer partnerships, and promotions.

Collaborate with marketing, PR, operations, and other teams as needed.

Monitor social media analytics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and content. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve performance over time.

Team Leadership :

Lead and mentor a team of social media specialists, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.

Delegate tasks and ensure that team members are working effectively towards shared goals.

Brand Management :

Uphold brand standards and guidelines across all social media channels, ensuring consistency in messaging, tone, and visual identity.

Protect the brand's reputation and proactively address any issues or crises that may arise.

Cultivate relationships with influencers, brand ambassadors, and other external partners to amplify our reach and engagement.

Negotiate contracts and agreements as necessary.

Employment is contingent upon a successful background check.

What you bring to our team

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in social media management, with a focus on strategy development and execution.
  • Perfectly bilingual French & English
  • Proven track record of growing social media audiences and driving measurable results.
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics tools and metrics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in crisis management and brand reputation management is a plus.
  • Passion for staying up to date with the latest social media trends and technologies.
