The Business Intelligence team in Video Sharing Platform Services has a mission to help decision making by providing data-based insights to product owners and management.

Working with our Senior UX Researcher, you will uncover research regarding the usage behavior on some of the world’s most visited websites.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with design and product teams, creating and tapping into vast amounts of data to help ensure our products are attractive, meaningful, useful and accessible.

What you'll be doing :

  • Implement our mixed methods research methodology to learn about our users.
  • Provide research-driven input and feedback toward design initiatives.
  • Help us develop a deep understanding of who our users are, successfully segmenting various personalities.
  • Help conduct and interpret UI experimentation, speaking on behalf of our users and their various personalities.
  • Spot and proactively solve potential, costly development errors that are hurting the user experience.
  • Assist with prioritization of data gathering for intelligence insights.
  • Employ creative methods in our intelligence gathering to limit any negative friction in user experience while being respectful of user privacy.

What you'll need to be successful :

Must haves :

  • 1-2 years of professional and / or academic UX research experience.
  • Experience conducting and analyzing user interviews, focus groups, and user testing.
  • Working knowledge of survey research tools (Qualtrics, Forsta, SurveyMonkey).
  • Working knowledge of AB testing.
  • Experience conducting basic statistical analyses.
  • Ability to weave qualitative and quantitative research into compelling insights.
  • Strong knowledge mobilization skills to present findings to various stakeholders in a digestible manner.

Nice to haves :

  • Academic background in human psychology or sociology
  • Knowledge of UX software tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, etc.
  • Knowledge of social listening tools such as Brandwatch
  • Knowledge of data programming languages, tools and products.
  • HTML and other web-based programming languages.
  • Experience with agile development cycles
  • Knowledge of advertising platforms
