The Translation Specialist translates a variety of documents from English to French while providing outstanding customer service to all internal clients and managing several projects simultaneously.


Translate internal communications including memos, analysis, presentations, speeches, policies and business procedures and external communications such as job postings, web content, requests for proposals, signage and correspondence from various business lines and services such as Global Workplace Services, People, Health, Safety and Environment, Finance and Research.

Update the internal translation memory, terminology, and translation journal daily.

Explore inventive ways to integrate AI translation in our daily practice while maintaining CBRE’s high standards in terms of translation quality.

In collaboration with the Francophone Communications & Media Manager, establish terminology guidelines by conducting research, making recommendations and updating CBRE’s terminology and French style guides.

Coordinate third-party translations with established vendors on outstanding requests. Forward related invoices to internal clients, explain payment terms and follow-up with late payees.

Review and validate translated content by coworkers or third-party translation providers. Provide linguistic advice (e.g.

style, grammar and syntax) to coworkers and third-party translation providers.

Provide linguistic support to internal clients and vendors up to informal interpret services, especially during the transition of a new client account.

Act as an active member of the Comité de francisation and sustain its initiatives.

Preserve the confidentiality of all documents.

Other duties may be assigned.


No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and / or training to coworkers.
