Global Marketing and Public Policy DepartmentThe Global Marketing and Public Policy team is responsible for Vantage’s brand, identity, and positioning in the global marketplace.

The team further leads public and analyst relations, as well as public affairs, to ensure all constituents are educated on Vantage’s products and services while advancing the company’s position on data center public policies.

The team partners with sales, design, engineering, construction, finance, legal, and other departments to grow market share, acquire and retain customers, launch products, represent the company before governments, and expand into new geographies.

In addition, the team spearheads the overall product design of the data center aesthetics to ensure a consistent customer experience around the world.

Position Overview The Senior Marketing Manager, NA will be primarily responsible for planning, implementing, and reporting on Canadian marketing and government affairs programs in order to attract new customers, retain existing customers, elevate the Vantage brand, as well as engage with economic development, government officials, and the community to advocate for Vantage.

Areas of focus will include all field marketing activities, events, lead generation campaigns, content templates, public relations, government affairs and marketing operations.

The individual will report directly to the Vice President, Global Marketing and will work together with various stakeholders and teams within the organization, including leadership, sales, design, engineering, and construction, to achieve department and corporate goals.

Essential Job FunctionsDevelop marketing plan and budget for Canada.Select and manage all regional marketing partners / agencies and government affairs consultants.

Engage with and support coworkers to ensure a cohesive team, unified goals, and successful outcomes.Manage all events, both internally and externally, from concept to budgeting, planning, execution, and reporting.

Contribute to content creation; manage all Canadian content templates, videos, social media messaging, etc.Develop integrated campaigns to keep Vantage top-of-mind with relevant constituents, attract new candidates (potential employees) to the company, and report on effectiveness / KPIs.

Work with NA public affairs and in-country consultants to ensure Vantage has the ability to build data centers, tracking all relevant policies, laws and local sentimental;

proactively lead community and advocacy programs.DutiesManage tradeshows, broker / customer / prospect / partner events, and internal events, including planning, budgeting, implementing, attending, and hitting predefined KPIs.

Develop, execute, and measure targeted campaigns, email deployments and other lead generation activities, mainly focused on strategic target accounts and brokers.

Manage the database and list segmentation.Develop, implement, and measure all public relations government affairs activities across Canada.

Provide competitive, market and product intelligence as required.Manage regional marketing photography.Work with HR and Director of Marketing on local recruiting campaigns.

Assist in the management of Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Analytics, the marketing calendar and other tools to execute, track and measure program performance.

Research, identify and track current and emerging policy and political issues impacting the data center industry across Canada;

engage internal stakeholders to determine company’s position, priorities, and risks.Create and manage a community engagement program in jurisdictions where Vantage operates or plans to operate across Canada.

Draft positioning statements and external-facing documents; prepare presentations and talking points for internal and external meetings.

Participate in various chambers of commerce, trade associations and industry coalitions as a proponent of Vantage and the data center industry.

Promote Vantage’s commitment to sustainability, diversity and inclusion; engage in the community supporting Vantage’s role as a good corporate citizen.

Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or Journalism, or equivalent experience required.

5-7 years of experience in related field required.Data center experience is strongly preferred, but not required.Ability to write marketing copy is essential;

attention to detail is a must.Knowledge of Salesforce, HubSpot, WordPress, Adobe Creative Cloud and Google Analytics preferred.

Bilingualism (French and English) is desired for this position due to the nature of the role requiring daily interactions with people from different departments (Marketing, Sales, Operations, HR etc.

whose stakeholders are located in the United States, in Europe and in APAC and that the only common language to communicate with them is English.

Travel required is expected to be 5 to 10%. Travel includes managing events and visits to other Vantage offices. Travel may increase over time as the business evolves.
